Hello there dog lover! I’m watson. I started out volunteering in shelters which inspired me to work with dogs full time. I studied dog training at Animal Behavior College in 2017 and have been training and teaching classes ever since. I love giving second chances to older dogs, which is why I took specialized training for shelter dogs. I have rescued multiple older dogs in the last 5 years, but right now i have 2 boys. Elvis helps me with socializing other dogs. He’s the best non reactive dog I could have ever asked for. Especially considering I found him tied to a tree where his owners had left him to die. Starving to death and unloved, i don’t think he had ever been indoors before I found him 3yrs ago. He’s now fat and happy, very loved and pretty much fully adjusted to indoor life. It took a while and lots of work, but he’s my best buddy now. I’ve had Hudson Hawk for about a year and a half now. At 8yrs old he was found wandering the woods. I hate to see an older dog in a shelter, so I knew he was coming home with me. After adopting him we discovered some trauma from his past. In the last year, Hudson has gone from being unable to stand someone touching his neck or collar, to being completely comfortable as people love on him. He may always have some fear responses, but he’s now a trusting loved part of our family. Getting the best from your dog can be lots of work, but it’s worth every second. I hope to be there to help your dog on his journey – whether he’s just a baby learning and experiencing the world, or is in the golden years and needs a little help.

The love of my life is a pit bull named “Angel” her sister is a Rottie/lab mix named “Beauty” and she has also become the center of my world. I love dogs and am so thrilled to be an ABC certified dog trainer. It is my calling to help make a difference in the relationship between dog and owner with positive reinforcement training methods. Without professional training it can sometimes be a frustrating relationship, but with an investment in good training a wonderful transformation will occur with your trusted family pets. I have been working with many breeds over the years and my specialty is the “bully breeds”. Some of them get a terrible reputation and I firmly believe it is inherent of improper proper training and responsible ownership. After completing almost 5 years with the United States Marine Corps, Charles dedicated his life to helping dogs and their owners after life changing incidents with his own rescue dog Hank. After becoming certified through Animal Behavior College he started his own in-home training and behavior modification business, Headstrong Dog Training, in the Raleigh, NC area.

I am a recent graduate of Animal Behavior College and am located in Boone, NC. I offer group classes, private sessions as well as pet sitting and focus my training in Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, Ashe, and Wilkesboro areas.

I was born in the Netherlands but have been in the US for over 22yrs now. As soon as we moved here I noticed the lack of animal care and training. I was determined to make a chance. I’m also very passionate about diet and nutrition for animals and they’re overall health. I started out in the vet field, I wanted to help all animals who were sick and kind of be the Guardian angel. I realized quickly when my own dog became sick that this field was not for me. That’s when I decided I would look into dog training. I started school while my husband was deployed to more or less have a pass time and figure or what I wanted to do in life. I then found an internship with my now employer in spring of 2014. I can’t find anything more rewarding in life! The bond you create with your companion is awesome and I want everyone to experience that.
