About

At the heart of my work is a simple belief: dogs and humans grow best when they feel safe, understood, and connected. For more than 15 years, I’ve dedicated my career to helping families build those connections—supporting both ends of the leash through compassion, clarity and evidence-based guidance. As a certified trainer, certified behavior consultant, and enrichment-focused boarding business owner—recognized in a national magazine for innovation and individualized care—I bring a holistic approach rooted in trust, communication, and mutual well-being. My work centers on trauma, overreactivity, and the emotional needs of both species, helping families move from frustration to harmony. I’m also an award-winning writer and speaker whose articles on trauma and training pit bulls have earned two Dog Writers Association of America awards, along with multiple nominations across several years. I’ve presented at APDT conferences, sharing thought leadership on canine behavior, enrichment and the human–animal bond. Before launching my business, I spent two decades in education and customer service, honing the communication, coaching and problem-solving skills that now shape how I teach, mentor, and support both people and their pets. Whether I’m creating courses, consulting one-on-one, or speaking about trauma-informed, relationship-centered training my mission remains the same: to foster safety, connection and sustainable growth for dogs and the humans who love them.
