Hi, I'm Melanie! I am an accredited dog trainer (ADT) at the Greenville Humane Society. I work directly with struggling dogs in the shelter, creating and executing training plans and behavior modification treatments individualized to each animal. I also offer public group training class and private in-home training services. I strictly use fear free, positive reinforcement approaches to handling and training with an emphasis on building trust and relationship on both ends of the leash. In my free time, I enjoy the outdoors, crafting, and coffee! I share my life with my husband, two cats, and 13 year old blue heeler. To further my education, I am regularly keeping up to date in the dog training world and taking advantage of as many learning opportunities that I can. I also have been actively working toward learning in home and shelter cat behavior.
