About
I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA), a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant (CDBC), a professional member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers and a certified member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants. I have been educating people and their dogs since 1996. I began my education in pet dog training and behavior problem solving at the ASPCA in New York City. I continue to educate myself in dog behavior, training methods, and ethology through hundreds of hours of workshops, seminars and lectures with such renowned experts in their fields as Karen Pryor, Dr. Ian Dunbar, Jean Donaldson, Bob Bailey, Dr. Ray Coppinger, Roger Abrantes and Pamela Reid. I have also studied wolf behavior and ethology with Dr. Eric Klinghammer, Pat Goodmann and 20+ wonderful wolves at Wolf Park in Indiana and dolphin cognition as an Earthwatch volunteer at Kewalo Basin Marine Mammal Laboratory in Hawaii. I have taken continuing education courses in Behavioral Psychology and the Neuropsychology of Behavior at the New School University in New York City. Prior to entering the field of dog training I worked as a veterinary assistant and dog groomer and have worked in the fields of communications and adult education. I serve clients in Manhattan in New York City.
