CDBCAbout
I am a certified canine behavior professional whose approach is both holistic and science-based. I believe that a strong foundation in relationship-building and positive, humane methods is the key to a happy and healthy bond between humans and their dogs. I have been working with dogs professionally since 2006, first as an off-leash group walker in San Francisco and later as a private trainer and behavior consultant. I enjoy problem-solving and developing effective, individualized solutions for challenges such as reactivity, aggression, resource guarding, separation anxiety, fear, and anxiety-related behaviors, as well as puppy raising and foundational manners. I earned my MSc in Clinical Animal Behavior from the University of Edinburgh and my CTC (Certified Trainer and Counselor) from Jean Donaldson’s Academy for Dog Trainers. I hold multiple certifications, including CSAT (Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer), PCBC-A (Professional Canine Behavior Consultant), CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed), and Fear Free Certified Professional (FFCP). I have also completed advanced coursework with Dr. Susan Friedman and Michael Shikashio’s Master Course on Aggression in Dogs. rnrnI currently study with Dr. Kristina Spaulding, specializing in stress and resilience in dogs, and am an ANWI (Associate Nose Work Instructor), working toward full certification in K9 Nose Work®. rnrnAs a lifelong learner, I am dedicated to compassionate, evidence-based practice and to helping dogs and their people thrive together.rnrnrn
