Hi!! I'm Erin and I'm a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) and the founder of Bessey’s Positive Paws, a dog training business based in Whitefield, Maine. With nearly two decades of experience, I specialize in positive, force-free training methods that foster trust and effective communication between dogs and their families. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of Maine at Orono in 2007. During my college years, I began my professional journey at Green Acres Kennel Shop in Bangor, where I advanced from a Certified Pet Care Technician to a lead dog training instructor. My approach is rooted in scientifically backed, reward-based methods designed to create a harmonious learning environment for dogs and their owners. Beyond my professional endeavors, I enjoys spending time with my husband, two daughters, and the dogs, Tripp and Tilly. You can often find us hiking, camping, skiing, and horseback riding.
