About
Heather has been involved in dogs and dog sports since 1986, and began working professionally as a dog trainer in 1998. She left healthcare as a Dietitian in 2005 to open her business, emBARK to pursue what her heart loved to do. She has had Flat Coated Retrievers since 1996. She lives on a farm in the Driftless area of Wisconsin where she stewards 40 acres of native prairie and advocates for all the creatures that reside there.
