Fear Free

Based in Hohenwald, and serving the surrounding communities in TN, a certified dog trainer dedicated to the "No Fear, No Force, No Pain" +R philosophy. My journey began at age 18, intuitively training with empathy and respect long before becoming a professional. With a background as a veterinary technician and a degree in Radiography (Cum Laude, 1997), I bring a strong medical and scientific foundation to my work. After launching a successful pet-sitting business in 2003 and competing in dog agility, I formalized my expertise by studying under the renowned R+ expert Louise Stapleton-Frappell. Today, I use science-based positive reinforcement (R+) to help owners build deep, lasting bonds with their pets. In addition to local training, I proudly volunteer at the High Forest Humane Society.

CCDT

My name is Heather Addington. I had dogs growing up but when I got my first dog as an adult, I didn't know how to go about training him. I read books, went to classes and wanted a deeper understanding of my dog and animals in general, so I became a trainer! I am a former project manager and a registered nurse. Helping people succeed is my passion and dog training is my joy. I’ve combined the things I love most with the power of positive dog training to help you to raise a happy, well behaved dog that brings joy to your life! County Canine Dog Training uses positive reinforcement principles and the latest science-based animal behavior methods for training your dog. We offer in-home basic obedience training for puppies 8 weeks to 4 months and for dogs > 4 months of age.
