Amy Christenson offers in-home basic obedience training. Canine Good Citizen evaluation is also available. Driven by her interest in animal welfare and belief that dogs and other pets should be considered family members, only positive methods are used.

I specialize in group classes in all levels of obedience (Puppy kindergarten, Basic, Intermediate, CGC and other classes as needed). I am also an AKC Evaluator, an AKC Temperament Tester, and a therapy dog educator. I am a tester/observer for the Alliance of Therapy dogs, and I am particularly invested in promoting the animal-human bond. I specialize in early socialization for puppies and their families.I currently offer training, testing, and evaluations of therapy dog teams, leading to eventual certification for animal assisted activities. I am available to do in-home evaluations and assessments. I am an evaluator for the UKC and the AKC, and I do STAR Puppy testing, CGC, CGCU, and CGCA, testing, and Tricks testing, as well as prep classes. I recently became eligible to do AKC Temperament Testing. I am currently involved in AKC competitive obedience classes, competing and coaching. I currently teach all levels of obedience classes at the Gardner Animal Care Center, and I am available for private classes and evaluations, as well.
