Originally from Hampton, Virginia and I have always had a love for animals since I can remember. When I was a teenager, I inspired to be a Veterinarian, but after volunteering at a local Veterinarian Hospital, I realized that Veterinarian work was not for me. Even though I no longer intended to be a Veterinarian, I would still volunteer at various pet organizations with my mom. When I was 21, I joined the United States Air Force and was stationed at Shaw AFB, SC, Spangdahlem AB, Germany and Mountain Home AFB here in Idaho. After 8 1/2 years of service, I decided to leave the Air Force and pursue other opportunities. In January 2015, I began the process of getting a Service Animal to help with my PTSD. While going through this process I rediscovered my passion and love for animals, specifically dogs. I then began to work as a Kennel Tech and quickly advanced to the Kennel Tech Manager at a local dog training facility. Upon doing some research, I discovered I could use my G.I. Bill to pursue my passion of dog training. Now that I am have my certification from Animal Behavior College, I intend to use as much of my G.I. Bill as possible to broaden and enhance my Trainerโs Toolbox through school, seminars, extensive literature, and other educational resources. I currently belong to Karma, a 4-yr old Siberian Husky, and Aura, a 2-yr old Belgian Malinois. Education: 2018 Animal Behavior College Honors Graduate 2019 Micheal Ellis School for Dog Trainers: Obedience Intensive

I love to be around animals beย it training, going for walks, playing, or just hanging out. I believe I am well qualified for anything you may have in mind as far as your pets are concerned.ย ย In January 2014 I received my certification for Dog Training and Cat Management and Training. I also have certificates for Shelter Dog Training and Pet Diet and Nutrition.ย ย I currently volunteer at the Kootenai Humane Society. I have been volunteering regularly for over two years.ย July 2014ย I received Volunteer of the month. I help out in many capacities.ย I started as aย ย dog walker, but I help with cleaning, feeding, laundry, and dishes when needed. I also like to work at outreach programs, taking dogs to events to strut their stuff and give them a break from the kennel life for the day and hopefully find them a fur ever home! I am part of the team that does behavioral assessments on new intakes.ย This helps us learn more about the dogs and why they may have ended up there. We test them with various stimuli, other animals, and read their body language to get a general idea of what type of home they would be best suited for. It also helps us identify any problems such as aggression, fear, pain, injury, or just plain bad manners. I work with new volunteers by helping them learn the ropes. (Getting in and out of kennels properly, fitting harnesses, and teach them how to work with the dogs while they are on leash). I work with other traainers doing behavior modifications for the dogs that need it.ย We also teach basic obedience. I also help her with new volunteer training seminars.ย Sometimes we go in just to walk all the dogs! I am also involved with the Pawsitive Works Program where we team up shelter dogs with troubled teens. It helps the teens learn valuable life lessons while training the shelter dogs to make them more adoptable. I am a very responsible, honest, and dedicated worker.ย ย I have one dog myself and she is the Queen of the castle. I rescued her from the streets

My Business is Krazee K9s. I offer a range of different training services and dog walking services. I love all animals, but dogs hold a special place in my heart. I grew up with them and I want every dog to be on their best behavior for their owners. Big or small dogs need to know their manners and I love being able to show people that their dog can behave. I work with the dog to know the rules, but it is more about training the owner as well.

As a certified dog trainer, I believe you can achieve the results you desire through the use of gentle and positive training techniques. Such techniques ensure that your puppy or dog is neither frightened nor stressed during training. Puppies exposed to frightening or stressful situations are more prone to develop aggression and other behavior problems later in life. Training is a method of changing a behavior using rewards that will drive the behavior in the direction that you would like it to go. One must realize that a dog will do what works for them not you. If you utilize this fact, you can have them do what works for you. Thus, you reward the behavior you want rather than try to punish after the fact what you didn't want.

Working with animals has always been a passion of mine. After finding a dog abandoned on the streets who was riddled with so much trauma translating itself into aggression through fear, I became even more motivated to learn more about how a dog thinks and reacts in certain situations. I wanted to understand how the psychology behind the action works to better help and work with these wonderful creatures as well as help the relationship between human and dog for other people as well. After taking the year long course through Animal Behavior College, I can successfully say I understand canine behavior more and how to help them fit into a human world in ways the dog will understand. I look forward to helping others resolve issues and develop a stronger bond with their canine companions.

I graduated, with honors, from Animal Behavior College with a certification in dog training. I enjoy working with dogs and their owners helping them develop a positive trusting relationship. I enjoy seeing the team work and communication that grows as a dog and it's owner learn together and progress through training. My special interest is starting puppies off right with social skill, life skill and basic training or foundation skill. With appropriate training and experiences a puppy can grow into a great companion that is a joy to be with. I have completed the Puppy Start Right program form the Karen Pryor Academy, which focuses on appropriate socialization and problem management and solving for puppies in their socialization period. Through appropriate socialization, behavior management, problem prevention and solving as well as training puppies can grow into great family companions that are a joy to have in your life. I am also deeply committed to volunteering at the local Humane Society and enjoy participating in dog play groups and, my first passion, providing foster care for puppies and moms with puppies. I am in the process of setting up my business and hope to soon have a website set up with information on programs I offer as well as costs.
