I’m Kate Johnson, CBCC-KA, CPDT-KA, FDM — a Certified Canine Behavior Consultant, Certified Professional Dog Trainer, and Certified Family Dog Mediator — dedicated to helping families build happy, lasting relationships with their dogs. After nearly two decades in office administration, I chose to follow my lifelong love of animals and start a career in dog training. What began as a personal passion quickly grew into Rain or Shine Canine, LLC, where I now specialize in positive, science-based training for families, puppies, and dogs with behavior challenges. I’ve earned multiple professional certifications, completed advanced continuing education in behavior and training, and remain deeply committed to force-free, fear-free methods. My greatest passion is helping families during the puppy stage—particularly within the critical socialization window under 16 weeks, because intentional, supported socialization during this time can change the entire trajectory of a dog’s life. I also find it deeply rewarding to help families navigate behavior struggles such as fear, anxiety, and reactivity, providing both compassion and practical tools. Every client relationship matters to me: my goal is to bring relief, confidence, and joy to both dogs and their people.
