Hello! Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Kennedi and I am a dog trainer that works in the community of Fountain Hills, AZ, and the surrounding areas. I have a BS in Wildlife Management from Dakota Wesleyan University. I am also CPDT-KA Certified, Fear Free Certified Professional, and an AKC CGC Certified Evaluator. I received my certification as a Bite Prevention Educator, Be A Tree Presenter, and my certificate as a Canine Enrichment Technician through Doggone Safe. I am very passionate about my work and care deeply for animals, large or small, especially dogs of all shapes, sizes, and breeds. I have five dogs, Beau, Juno, Jack, Annie, and Ollie. I also have a wonderful cat named Oliver and two guinea pigs named Dolly Parton and Patsy Cline. I grew up in South Dakota and Alaska, and have been surrounded by a variety of animals, wild and domestic. I have a deep appreciation for living things and believe in respecting and caring for them. I have had a host of pets including dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, turtles, and bucket calves. I have also had a hand in rescuing dogs, cats, baby birds, and raccoons. I received my Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Managment in 2016. I have been a Senior Dog Trainer and Mentor for Petco for 3.5 years and have a vast amount of experience working with dogs of all sizes and breeds. I now own and operate my own business, Pawsitive Dog Training LLC, which was founded January of 2020. Please feel free to contact me with any of your training needs!

I work primarily with rescue dogs. Many new owners do not understand the source of their dog's behavior problems in and out of the home. I encourage fostering, foster-to-adopt, and adopting through established rescue organizations. My goal is to work through basic training procedures and minimize the chance a dog will be returned to a shelter, further traumatized. My training philosophy is based on ABC's principles, with some clicker training and modeling using rehabilitated dogs. Much of my training is free of charge; a chronic illness makes firm scheduling a challenge.

My focus is to keep dogs in their βfur-ever homeβ by educating and training both owners and their dogs. Training philosophy: β’ With love and patience, any dog can be trained to live and thrive in a human environment. β’ Training is an on-going process between owner and dog β’ Positive training methods should be used. Serving the Valley of the Sun I look forward to working with you and your dog!
