Founded in 2020 by certified dog trainer Tabitha Crane, Cranium Dog Training has brought thoughtful one-on-one training to the Phoenix area. Tabitha can help bridge the language gap between you and your canine companion. You no longer need to be at a loss when your dog acts out and you don’t know what he needs with Tabitha’s holistic approach where relationship, environment, health and behavior are all considered. While some may argue dogs are stubborn and belligerent, Tabitha believes that if there is a behavioral breakdown then there is an unmet canine need that needs to be fulfilled. Combine that with some tried and true training methods and you get a well-behaved dog who can handle the real world.

Al Rose, CBCC-KA,Dog Behavioral Consulting,Certified Canine Behavior Consultant, Knowledge AssessedCertified Fear Free Professional___________________________________________________________________________________DON'T SEND YOUR DOG BACK TO THE POUND! PLEASE SEEK QUALIFIED HELP FIRST. When I began my behavior career, the Pima Animal Care Center (PACC) had just initiated a dedicated behavior department for the first time in its history. Observing that dogs with bite, fight, or phobia issues were the hardest to adopt, I focused 100% of my efforts towards the rehabilitation and adoption of these at-risk dogs. Every day, I looked for the dogs with the word "BITER" on their kennel and set forth to give these challenged dogs a new lease on life. I was mentored daily by the seasoned behavior professionals at PACC who generously offered their time in educating and training me and to whom I will always owe a debt of gratitude. On the Top Dog team, I was regularly assigned the most difficult cases and helped treat and adopt over 100 aggressive and phobic dogs in my 500 hours of service. Since then, I have mentored with 7 dog behavior professionals and worked with hundreds more dogs over the last 8 years. As stated on my business card, my mission today is to continue keeping dogs and their families together. Experienced in Severe Separation Anxiety/Separation Related Problems:I lived with and successfully treated an 80 lb American Bulldog with severe separation related problems including separation anxiety, isolation distress, and panic disorder. She presented with destruction of furniture, windows, doors, house soiling, howling, panic, drooling, hyperventilation, and vomiting. After treatment, she was able to remain calm and peaceful in durations up to 6 hours. I have complete video and photo documentation of the process. Experienced with Severe Dog-Human Aggression:I have worked with many dogs who presented with indiscriminate lunging and biting towards strangers, owners, and children. All were successfully treated within 6 weeks. NOTE: In my opinion, Kim Silver with Building Bonds is the most skilled and experienced with aggression issues and recommend you seek her. You can find her at https://buildingbondstraining.com. For expert witness work involving legal issues, I recommend Sandy McPadden https://sandymcpadden.com. Experienced with Phobias:I have worked with many dogs who presented with fear and panic towards men, handi

I volunteer at the Pima Animal Care Center in Tucson AZ.I do general dog walking as well as working with the TopDogs Team to help the behaviorally challenged dogs. As a group we work with the problematic dogs, but more importantly we train other volunteers to train the shelter dogs, with the hopes of making the dogs more adoptable.I also work with adopters and fosters to help their newly adopted/fostered dogs acclimate to life in a home away from the shelter. This process can be challenging for some dogs as well as for the adopters/fosters. I have started a private Foundation to offer free training for dogs fostered or adopted from Pima Animal Care Center, our county shelter.

I am also a CPDT-KA certified trainer, and a Canine Good Citizen Certified Instructor

Dog Training

Hi! My name is Mattison and I am a certified dog trainer located in the Flagstaff, AZ region. I graduated from Animal Behavior College in 2019 and since then have had many different clients in Flagstaff and Phoenix. I have worked under multiple different dog trainers in Arizona, have worked at a pet store, and a doggy daycare/boarding facility. I am always learning new things to stay up to date on methods, dog health, etc. I consider myself a balanced trainer because I use whatever tool works best for that dog. Each dog is an individual and needs to be trained accordingly. I have become an expert on anxiety reform and dog confidence building, helping owners navigate how to help their dog.

Ethan Davidson

Dog Training

Hi, I’m Ethan Davidson! My first priority when working with any dog is to gain their trust, then build confidence. A confident dog is less likely to have behavioral issues and more likely to explore new things, making obedience training easier. It’s important to me that your dog not only to listens to us, but understands that we listen to them. I train dogs so that they know we are in a partnership and when you combine these ideas you end up with a strongly bonded, well trained, and happy dog. Thanks for taking the time to check out my profile; I hope you and your pooch have a great day!

Melissa Boyd

San Tan Valley, AZ

Dog Training

I offer obedience training and behavior modification in San Tan Valley and surrounding areas. I use positive reinforcement in my training, which means we will reward your pup with positive reinforcement, such as treats or toys when they are successful in completing a task, or discontinue unruly behavior. I also use a clicker in the first few weeks of training, because I find it very effective due to the quickness of the clicker as opposed to saying “good” when your pup successfully completes a command or task. I will come to your home for a free 15 minute in home assessment (in my service area) where I can meet yourself and your pup, and I will explain my training techniques and tools that I use to help make your pup succeed in his training. And I will also observe your pup and listen to any questions or concerns that you may have. We will set up a personalized training plan that consist of a 5-week training course. I will come to your home once per week, for one hour, and train your pup, provide training homework for yourself and other information that may be helpful in achieving the optimal training goals for your pup.

Dog Training

As an ABC graduate I only use positive reinforcement training. I love working with all sizes and all ages of dogs. I especially like to work with bully breeds and herding dogs. I am available 7 days a week, at all hours. I am in this business to train people on how to deal with their dogs so they can both live happily. Working with dogs is a passion I have had for all of my life. I’m in the business of teaching dogs, so that their humans can believe that they are not a lost cause. Every dog deserves a chance.

Leanna Jamison

Glendale, AZ

Dog Training

Hello and Welcome! My name is Leanna and I am the owner DMB Four Paws Training Academy (also known as just DMB). One thing that drove me to start DMB is the high cost of dog training. Everyone should be able to afford dog training, and everyone should have the experience of owning a well behaved dog with an exceptional family relationship. With saying that, I have lower costs, not because I am not a “good” trainer, I have lower costs and less “fluff” (fancy training facility, etc, as most of the training is done either virtually (so you and your dog can be in the comfort of your own home, or a meeting place), so that everyone can have the opportunity. This also lessens the chances of dogs going to pounds or rescues because their owners cannot handle them. . About me as a trainer: ? Having owned well trained dogs all my life that I trained along with training family members, neighbors and friends dogs and spending 1000’s of hours researching and dedicating my life to learning all different styles of training, I decided to start training professionally and going back to school to become a certified dog trainer and to study canine behavior and learning theory. I than decided to open DMB and have been professionally training for 15 years with over 20 years total life experience. ? A lot of the success is due to my comprehensive follow up if ever needed that are included with all training at no additional charge when it pertains to commands/behaviors that have already been taught but needs some fine tuning, for as much as the owner needs. ? I use psychology and a natural approach to dog training with positive reinforcements. Understanding the psychology of the breeds is also important, as every breed has their own characteristics that can affect the way they learn. At DMB, we train all breeds! ? Training can be very frustrating, time consuming and stressful at the same time, when unfamiliar with the process that works best for your dog, whether he/she is a puppy or an ad

Barbara Langston

Fountain Hills, AZ

Dog Training

I work primarily with rescue dogs. Many new owners do not understand the source of their dog's behavior problems in and out of the home. I encourage fostering, foster-to-adopt, and adopting through established rescue organizations. My goal is to work through basic training procedures and minimize the chance a dog will be returned to a shelter, further traumatized. My training philosophy is based on ABC's principles, with some clicker training and modeling using rehabilitated dogs. Much of my training is free of charge; a chronic illness makes firm scheduling a challenge.

I believe that dogs deserve to live and be happy as much as humans do. I do not believe that they are property. That being said, I do believe that human guardians of dogs deserve to happy also and that the best way to facilitate both is to increase and improve understanding and communication between the two. That is where I come in. It is my goal to help each to understand the other in order to create harmony and happiness in the lives of people and their furry friends.
