CPDT-KAAbout
Alex has worked with dogs professionally since 2018, starting his career as a professional dog walker. His desire to improve the lives of dogs led him to volunteer with various animal rescues in the Los Angeles area, where he gained experience working with dogs of all ages, temperaments, and medical needs. As a Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA), Alex is committed to ongoing education and staying up to date on the latest behavior research while also studying foundational works that remain relevant today. He regularly attends conferences and engages with experts in the field to refine his approach to training and behavior. Alex is an active member and top contributor in the Constructional Approach to Animal Welfare and Training (CAAWT) community, where he collaborates with others to design and implement behavior plans that improve animal welfare and strengthen human-animal relationships. Beyond individual training, Alex works closely with shelters and rescues to support dogs and families in need, providing training and guidance to help dogs transition successfully into their new homes. He has a deep compassion for all animals, with a particular passion for working with dogs that struggle to communicate their needs and require extra patience and understanding.Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA)
