Sarah has been training dogs since 2008, when finished her Master of Arts degree in Journalism at the University of Texas and realized that wasn't her path. She started as a trainer at PetSmart, where she was promoted to area trainer and oversaw trainers for stores in the Austin district. She then spent five years working at a non-profit training service dogs, Service Dogs, Inc. In 2014 she started Bond Dog Training, providing training through her own company to people in south and central Austin and surrounding communities. In 2018, she left her job training for an organization to work for herself full-time. She is a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant, a Certified Professional Trainer - Knowledge and Skills Assessed, and a Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer. Her main areas of specialty are reactivity/aggression, fear/anxiety, separation anxiety, and on the complete other end of the spectrum, service dogs. She lives with her lab/German shepherd mix Clara just south of Austin.
