Certified Dog Trainers in Lago Vista, Texas

After serving as a teacher for 29 years, retirement provided me the opportunity to explore my other passion, dogs. I volunteered as a mentor with Austin Pets Alive! in 2014 and quickly discovered I had a knack for and natural understanding of dogs. Training them quickly became a passion that I resolved to pursue. During the pandemic, with schools shuttered, I took advantage of the additional time to get certified through Animal Behavior College to become a CPDT. Seeing the importance of human-animal connections, I recently set my sights on finding a way to keep pets together with some of the most vulnerable members of our society- those living unsheltered. That was the start of Demi’s Dream Dog Training. We aim to train dog owners who are unhoused or in transitional housing to train their own pets. It is our hope that this training will encourage more shelters to allow people to bring their pets with them into the communal properties.
