Jen has been training dogs (and cats!) for over 20 years through both private training businesses and shelter/rescue organizations. She is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, a certified TTouch Practitioner I, a Canine Nutritionist, and a Pet Professional Guild Canine Training Professional. Jen holds several certificates in ethology, animal learning, and behavior from the Ethology Institute. Anthony Carlin is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) and is a member of APDT (Association for Professional Dog Training Int’l). His natural connection with dogs inspired him to become a professional dog trainer. His primary focus is to improve the connection between a dog and their owners, so their relationship lasts a lifetime. As a father, he is passionate about helping families with young children understand, connect, and thrive with their dogs! Anthony began his dog training education through the CATCH Canine Trainers Academy. Through that program, he was connected with Hearts and Paws. Under the mentorship of Diana Smith and her 30 years experience, he has absorbed a wealth of knowledge and learned from every opportunity working with dogs of various breed, age, and size. His true strength lies in clear communication with our clients and with their dogs. Anthony teaches our Puppy Start, Basic Companion, and Lure Coursing classes. He trains our SuperDog Camp participants, our daycare and train clients, and is an AKC CGC Evaluator. He teaches private lessons at clients’ homes and in the Training Gym at our facility. Recently, Anthony was hired as the Therapy Dog Trainer for the Austin State Hospital which gives the staff a new way of connecting with their patients through dogs. He is also active in the Therapy Dog training for Divine Canines in Austin. Anthony is currently in the process of obtaining additional instructor certifications to further his reach of influence. In his free time, Anthony sings and plays bass throughout Texas, is a huge San Antonio Spurs fan, and visits local breweries around Austin. He has two beautiful daughters, Elena and Mireya, who are becoming great dog trainers themselves! Anthony loves working with his dogs, Ryder and Wilder. My name is Christopher Jaramillo, I am a small-town guy that loves dogs with big personalities. I received my education in animal behavior and dog training though animal behavior College in 2017 and interned at Dogworx Academy under Jessy Gabriel and Rob Dunn in 2019 for a period of time. I use a balanced training curriculum utilizing the four quadrants of operant conditioning to maximize our four-legged friends’ education. I have 2 dogs; a toy poodle named Critter, I rescued him from the streets in San Diego California where I found him roaming the streets with matted fur, I also Have a German Shepherd named Kobe, he’s my star boy and has taken to training and obedience beautifully.
