Hello! My passion is helping people better understand their dogs — focusing on connection, communication, and meeting a dog’s needs rather than simply expecting obedience and compliance. I truly believe that when we begin to understand why a behavior is happening, our entire perspective can change. Often, that understanding alone can make a meaningful difference. Instead of asking, “How do we stop this behavior?” I encourage people to ask, “What is my dog trying to communicate?” For me, it’s always about connection over correction. I began working with dogs in 2000 and have experience in dog daycare, veterinary care, shelters, and sanctuary work. In addition to being a CCPDT-KA, I am a licensed Family Paws Educator and am currently completing my certification as a Licensed Family Dog Mediator (FDM) through the L.E.G.S.® Model. While the process has taken a little longer than planned thanks to life’s twists and turns, I’ve remained deeply involved in the L.E.G.S. community for the past three and a half years. In 2025, I even traveled to India to study free-living dogs, or “streeties,” in several regions throughout the country — an experience that further shaped my understanding of canine behavior, adaptability, and communication. I am committed to lifelong learning and curiosity. I regularly attend conferences, workshops, and courses because the science of dog behavior is constantly evolving. Every day, we discover more about how dogs learn, what they need, and how we as humans can better support them. Through my years working in shelters and sanctuary settings, I have seen far too many dogs surrendered simply because they were misunderstood — because their communication and body language went unheard or unrecognized. My goal is to support both the human and the dog with compassion, empathy, and practical guidance. I would love the opportunity to help coach and strengthen the relationship between you and your dog.

I know have 11 years of experience as a professional dog trainer. All my training is positive. I have worked with many different behavior issues. I specialize in teaching the owners how to communicate in a way that the dog understands. Using positive training methods and natural products. I now teach Dog Trainers and Dog Owners how to balance their energy, so their dogs can interact with them on a different level. I also have an online course “Unleash you and your dogs potential.”

As a Certified Dog Trainer with over 15 years of experience—and an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator—I’ve worked with a wide range of dogs and clients in settings like agility training, therapy dog work, private lessons, and group classes. I bring a well-rounded skill set to my work, with a background that also includes management, sales, real estate, and medical billing. This diverse experience has strengthened my abilities in leadership, problem-solving, organization, and working with clients from all walks of life. I bring a dependable, professional, and client-centered approach to everything I do. I’m known for my ability to stay flexible, calm, and positive—even in challenging situations. Clear communication, empathy, and trust-building are at the core of my work, whether I’m supporting a client through a training issue or guiding a dog through a behavior change. Outside of training, I’ve organized community events supporting shelter animals and am deeply committed to advocacy and public education. My goal is always to help people better understand and support their pets—creating lasting, positive change for both.

PetAgreed I offer IN-YOUR-HOME family dog training: Train in familiar surroundings, at home. PetAgreed offers private lessons to teach you how to train your dog using Positive Reinforcement. This home setting allows me to observe your daily routines and personalize your dog training accordingly. The “in your home” training also allows me to show you how to correct behavior problems. I will teach you how to give clear and concise commands. I come to your house once a week for an hour to train in your home. Eventually, we will take your dog(s) out around distractions. It is your responsibility to practice between weekly sessions. Training and leadership exercises will strengthen the bond between you and your dog.
