It was at that time that I dove into my career training and handling both working and companion dogs. I then went through the Dog Obedience Trainer Program provided through Animal Behavior College and working with my training mentor, Linda Wideweitch. I also worked as a volunteer trainer for Patriot Assistance Dogs, an organization based in Detroit Lakes, MN dedicated to providing service dogs to American's veterans free of charge. Hello: Since I was 11 years old I owned Labrador Retrievers. From the first one I owned, I knew I wanted to train for a living. I am passionate about training and helping people with their canine. Offering: Puppy Classes, Obedience and help with solving problem behaviors.

I have completed the Animal Behavior College Dog Training curriculum with honors. Training 3 plus years at PetCo. Also am a Therapy Pets Unlimited evaluator.

Offering in home puppy and dog training programs and services. My mentality when starting my career in dog training was simple and pure. At Purple Paws Puppy Training, our focus is on helping families and the dogs in them no matter what. I am compassionate about our canine companions and always find a way to make your home the forever home for your dog or puppy. I’m passionate about educating the current and future dog/puppy owners about how to achieve balance in any breed of dogs. For the greatly misunderstood pit bull breed or the popular Doodle breeds. Teaching responsible ownership to adults and teach kids how to treat or approach a dog and hoping to imprint the importance of dog safety, while striving to make the world dog savvy and responsible. No two dogs are the same and we understand that. At Purple Paws we are dedicated to helping your pooch become a loyal and respectful member of your pack. Each situation is approached as it is, UNIQUE. Each client is created a personalized training program to ensure that you and your dog or puppy’s needs are met entirely. My niche in the dog world isn’t about force or reward. It’s about utilizing a dog’s instinct to do what they do best, follow you to the end of the earth, lovingly, Loyal and selflessly.

I offer Puppy Kindergarten and Basic Manners classes at In the Dog House grooming salon in downtown Northfield, MN. I also manage the Doggie Daycare as well as train dogs during daycare, depending on the needs of owners and their dogs. I love what I do and truly believe I have found my passion. I enjoy helping people and their dogs.
