CHAAMP Malamute Rescue is a non-profit, 501(c)(3), all-volunteer rescue organization for homeless Alaskan Malamutes in the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. We provide resources, training, and virtual consultations.

Mary is an Associate Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist (ACAAB) who consults on cat and dog behavior in the greater Washington, DC area. She’s been involved in the modification of animal behavior as a researcher, veterinary technician, trainer, and animal behaviorist for the past 20 years. Before starting Helping Pets Behave, she worked at the National Institutes of Health conducting behavioral research. This experience gave her a profound understanding of pet behavior. Virtual and in-person sessions result in a customized program, working knowledge of how to implement a training plan, and a written assessment sent to the patient’s veterinarian.
