I hold a masters degree in animal behavior. I am one of just 67 board certified applied animal behaviorists (ACAAB) in the country, and one of just two in Los Angeles County. I am Fear Free certified (FFCP). I am a professional member of the Association for Professional Dog Trainers (APDT). I have been a professional trainer for 19+ years, with a focus in behavior challenges for 16 years. I have held the position of behavior manager at two medium sized humane societies, consulted with several shelters across multiple states, and have been on the short list for a local shelter for county mandate bite case training. For 2.5 years, I was the department head/head instructor at the Academy of Pet Careers, the only full time, hands-on trade school teaching force free, positive reinforcement training in the country (to my knowledge). I specialize in private training in person or remotely by Zoom/FaceTime, working with clients struggling with a variety of behavior challenges from timid/fearful to resource guarding, stranger-directed reactivity and dog-directed reactivity, sound phobias, anxiety, and more.
